Foreign Language & Trade School Holds Symposium of the League & Students’ Union

2013年5月10日12:30，外语与贸易分院团学成员在6号楼409开展了团学座谈会。

At 12:30 on May 10th, 2013，the League members of Foreign Language & Trade School held symposium of the League and Students’ Union in room 409 of Teaching Building 6.

会议开头由学生代表发表“学习五四运动精神”的演说，内容定位在爱国思想应时时记在心中，并以之鼓励青年一代的成长发展。同学们着重讲述了我们作为当代的青年，要做的首先是勤于学习。学习是进步的根基，青年处在学习的关键时候，应该树立正确的理想和信念，培养高尚的道德情操。我们应该珍惜大好时光、发愤学习、刻苦钻研、打好基础。第二，我们要善于创造，在学习中努力培养自己的创造能力，充分发挥自身的创造潜力，在不断认识和把握客观规律的基础上，勇于创新、善于创新、不断创造。

Student representatives began the symposium with speeches on learning the the spirit of the May Fourth Movement, with the theme of bearing patriotic thinking in heart all the time, and encouraging ourselves, the youth to grow up with it as the core focus. The students’ speeches laid emphasis on the first task to study diligently. Learning is the foundation of progress, and we the youth are during the critical period in learning，when we should cherish the good times，pull all our energies into our hard work, and lay the foundation for future construction with correct dreams and beliefs, and with noble moral characters. And secondly, we the young students should be good at creating. Efforts should be made to develop our own creative ability, to give full play to our own creative potential, and to be creative, to master innovation continuously based on understanding and grasping the objective laws.

演讲结束后，团总支副书记郭萍萍同学发布各部门工作事项，安排各部门协力合作、举办分院接下来的各项活动。随后学生会主席赵晨峰同学收集学生会各部长反映的最近工作上遇到的问题，并且与大家探讨解决方案。之后体育部提议开展一次团学内部的运动比赛，包括篮球，羽毛球，乒乓球，排球等项目。这份提议得到了各干事的赞同。会议最后，两位副主席也发表了自己的工作感想，并且希望今后的团学内部能够更团结，将外贸分院的形象发扬光大。

After the speech, deputy secretary of the League, Guo Pingping released the work agenda of various departments, and called on the ministers to organize the following activities shoulder to shoulder. Subsequently Chairman of Students’ Union, Zhao Chenfeng collected the reflections from ministers on the problems they encountered  recently, and discussed the solutions with them. Then the Sports Ministry proposed to hold a sports competition among the League and Students’ Union, including basketball, badminton, table tennis, and volleyball, which got support from all the secretaries in charge. 会议最后，两位副主席也发表了自己的工作感想，并且希望今后的团学内部能够更团结，将外贸分院的形象发扬光大。

At the end of the symposium, two deputy chairmen also published the working reflection, and moreover hoped that ministers of the League and Students’ Union should unite together to carry forward the image of Foreign Language & Trade School.
