“春意盎然百花开，外贸学子体育赛；龙腾虎跃夺擂台，篮球场上真精彩!”3月14日中午，在校篮球场开展的英语专业大一大二之间、国际商务和日语专业之间的两场篮球对决赛异常激烈、精彩纷呈。
In the air is spring with flowers blooming
On the court are vigorous students competing
Attacking, defending and shooting
And in heart keeps the aim of winning!
At noon on March the 14th, competitions between freshmen and sophomores of English majors, and between International business major and Japanese major intensify at the basketball court.
此次计时赛分上下两个半场，持续时间均为二十分钟。参加篮球赛的有摩拳擦掌的球员，还有各专业呐喊助威的啦啦队。
The basketball time trial consists of two halves, lasting 20 minutes respectively. Vigorous basketball players show their skills and cooperation in sports with their cheer mates screaming for encouragement.

Take the game of English majors for a look. The freshmen and sophomores compare basketball skills from one another and scale new heights.
比赛开始，身着黑色队服的大二队就表现出相对优势，他们借着身高优势对大一队发起猛攻。大一队无法取得进攻上的优势，只得防守，上半场结束后大二队比分领先。
At the start of the game, the sophomore team in black uniforms gets advantage over the freshman team of their height. So the latter has no choice but defend. After the 1st half of the match, the sophomore team leads in score.
经过上半场的适应，大一队员调整战术、全力配合、快攻猛打，充分利用团队合作，终于在结束之前将较大落差追回一部分。
With the match experience of the 1st half, the freshmen players adjust tactics and bring team spirit into play. Finally, they narrow the gap before the match ends.
最终大二队以十几分的优势战胜了大一队。
Finally, the sophomore team defeats the freshman team with a-dozen-point advantage.
球场上同学们各司其职、竭尽全力，使比赛渐入高潮。比赛过程中，裁判员秉公执法、严肃认真，尽自己最大的努力判决好每一个球，保障了比赛的公证性、连续性和观赏性。为了保证比赛的顺利进行，各班队员和同学也顾大局、识大体，服从裁判，赛出水平，赛出风格，充分展现外贸学子积极向上勇于拼搏的青春风采、团结合作的精神面貌和优秀的大学生素质，培养了大家的集体荣誉感，增进了各班的友谊。比赛的顺利举行，为新老同学提供了一个交流机会，加深了相互的感情。
The students at court make every effort to fulfill their own duties, so the game turns out more and more fascinating. During the match, the referees do their best to judge every shot seriously to the rule to ensure the fairness of the competition. In order to make the match go smoothly, players and students from each class follow the judges and show their highlights playing according to the game principle in the overall situation. The whole game fully demonstrates beauty in youth and spirit in team working.
