Our Visit to the Rescue Station
--from volunteers of Foreign Language & Trade School
阳光明媚的3月30日，我们外语与贸易分院的7个志愿者来到嘉兴救助站进行义工服务。第一次来此做义工，心情复杂。
Today is March 30th and it is sunny. Seven of us from Foreign Language & Trade School come to Jiaxing Rescue Station. This is my first time to do volunteer work and I am complex in mood.
一进救助站，我就深感震惊。当下还有如此贫穷之人我真不知。救助站收留的有老人、妇女、残疾人和流浪儿。他们既穷又弱，几乎没有生存技能。此次我们带来了食品和爱心。在与他们的谈心中，我们为他们的生活捎来了些许快乐。看到他们脸上的微笑，我们感到由衷的高兴。
When I enter the rescue station, I am really shocked. I did not know there are such poor people like people here in the world. Here in the station old people, women, the disabled and homeless children are taken in. They are poor in wealth and ability and therefore almost no survival skill can be found in them. We come to see them with food and love. By chatting with them, we bring joy to their ordinary life. Smile turns up on their faces, which makes us the helpers happy too.
我看到一个不会说话只会跟着母亲四处走动的3岁女孩时，伤感涌上心头。这个孩子需要社会的帮助。
I am impressed by a little 3-year-old girl, who cannot speak, just idling around with her mother. The moment when I see her, sadness rises in mind. This child needs help from society.
今天的义工经历让我知道社会上还有人在等我们伸出援助之手，我们应该尽力帮助弱势群体并助力建设和谐社会。
The volunteer experience today tells me that there are people in the society, waiting for us to hold out our helping hands. We should do our best to care the weak group and to build a harmonious society.
