On June 30^th, the two groups (41students with 2 professors) of Macao Student Exchange Program were back to thecollege safely with success, demonstrating JXVTC accomplished one of its internationalizationtasks of 2021.

Since the Covid-19 outbroke, all theoverseas cooperation and exchange activities are pending for longtime, whichcauses the difficulties of internationalization for JXVTC. However, the collegenever ceases the step of embracing the world. After prudent discussion aboutthis program, the school leaders had finally approved and decided to support thismeaningful activity.

Thanks to the support from school leaders, MsFANG Yiqun, the vice president (executive) of International Cooperation andExchange Department actively contacted with the universities and organizationsin Macao in order to settle the visit schedule, meanwhile the whole departmentfocused on all kinds of preparation such as student selection, travel permitapplication, coordination with different internal and external bureaus, etc.

In consideration of precaution education foroverseas activities, on June 23^rd, International Cooperation andExchange Department invited Mr. ZHANG Liangen, the Director of Exit-EntryAdministration Division, Foreign Affairs Bureau of Jiaxing to give a lectureabout safety education to all the selected professors and students.

From June 26^th to 30^th , the groups visited prestigious universities and outstanding practice teachingbases in Macao, during 5 days, different sorts of study and exchange activitieswere filled up in the schedule, such as lecture of “Technology and Creativityinitiative”, visits in fine art museum, seminar of “Hotel Industry in Macao”,summer class of “Cocktail Mixing”, Cooperation Signing ceremony, etc.

The schedule contained various educationaland cultural activities which integrated the academic learning, professionaltraining, brain storming and on-the-spot teaching smoothly. The professors andstudents reported the enthusiastic responses and positive comments.

Dr. LI Jun, vice dean of Modern Agriculture,highly commented: this program offered a quite good opportunity for ourprofessor to get better understanding of the mechanism and characteristics ofuniversities in Macao, their advanced organization and open-minded educational conceptinspired me a lot, it is a significant start to the establishment ofcooperation between both sides, we will continue the exchange and implement otherprojects in the future.

ZHANG Chaoyue, the representative ofstudent concluded this program: It is such a great honor to participate in thisprogram, as a student, I have learned again the contemporary history of Macao,the returning of Macao and its fast development are the best testimony of CPC’sgreatness. My patriotic feeling is burning and I am so proud of my country, aprosperous country under the guide of CPC.

The successful accomplishment of this shortterm program not only demonstrates the periodical task of internationalizationhas been well done, but also indicate that JXVTC’s international cooperationand exchange activity has set the sail for a new journey. We believe firmlythat during this new journey, JXVTC will keep moving and make greaterachievements worldwide.
