On August 27, JXVTC carried out the onlinemeeting with Queenstown Reserve College(abbreviation as QRC). ZHAOYun(President), WANG Minhua(Vice-president), YANG Xiaoan(project manager ofHospitality major) and the school of International Education attended.

President ZHAO Yun gave the opening speechby mentioning the retrospective of the whole project, the appreciation towardsQRC, the current situation of pandemic, returning of new semester and willingof continuous cooperation under friendly negotiation.

President Charlie (from QRC) addressed hisresponse to demonstrate the gratitude about JXVTC’s effort and patience,introduced the Covid-19 situation in New Zealand, appealed a realistic way tomove forward the project.

Both sides discussed the remaining problemsdue to pandemic with a friendly atmosphere, the main topics including NZQAapproval, student recruitment plan, feasible methods of online teaching andtraining, etc.

President ZHAO and President Charlie endedup the meeting by reaching the consensus in basis of pragmatic cooperation,mutual frankness, positive negotiation for resolving the problems and keepmoving forward the project.

This meeting is quiet significant thoughthe project is now suspended due to the pandemic. This meeting brings both sides together, tends to overcome all kinds of difficulties with the strong willing of reciprocal confidence and determinationfor succeeding.
